Wordpress Plugins
It’s Day 9 of the Marketing Guru Challenge and today I look at what I think are must have Wordpress plugins.
Optimizing your blog is easy these days with the use of Wordpress plugins. The following are just some of the plugins I have found useful to get the most out of my blogs.
Some plugins I use might not suit your blog website style, so just search Google as there are usually plenty of similar plugins available. Some plugins must be activated by email, others can be setup by going through your admin panel.
All in One SEO Pack – Optimizes your Wordpress blog for Search Engines (Search Engine Optimization).
TinyMCE Advanced – If you need to find out why you need this plugin, Turnipofpower wrote a great post here on why you should use this plugin.
CommentLuv – Pass a bit of luv onto your commenters by providing a titled link to their last blog post.
Addtothis or Sociable – For bookmarking your post into StumbleUpon,Technorati, Digg and Delicious etc. I have found using these plugin more successful, as it is more visible and makes it easier for a visitor to your site to use these features.
MaxWordpressPingOptimizer – Whenever a blog pings, many background processes happen which get your blog quickly indexed by search engines as well as bringing traffic from many other sources
With this plugin you will need a Ping List. That’s a simple list of URLs that your blog will ping automatically every time you create a new post. To find an up to date ping list, once again you can use Google and simply search for “ping list”. Then copy the ping lists URLs into the MaxWordpressPingOptimizer inside your blog’s admin panel.
Other useful Wordpress plugins include:
WP-Cache
WP-DB-Backup
Next post I will look at my marketing list and email marketing.
