Making Money From Our Mailing List
It’s Day 17 of the Marketing Guru Challenge and by now you should have several hundred subscribers on your list. So far we have looked at the different advertising models and we have learned how to drive traffic to your websites.
Today it is time to start making money from our list. There are a few ways we can achieve this and I will start with the most basic, selling other people’s products.
I don’t mean affiliate marketing, the easiest way to make money online is by downloading and selling products that you have Master Resell Rights or you have Resell Rights to.
Master Resell Rights (MRR) are usually more expensive than plain Resell Rights (RR). The reason is with MRR you may sell others the product AND you may sell others the rights to sell resell rights. That means you may sell others a business opportunity, not just the product itself.
Resell Rights only allow you to sell the product not give the rights to others to sell the product. In both cases we are not allowed to alter the material. BUT!! There are rights called Private Label Master Rights. These are the most valuable of all rights! With these you may resell the rights to sell resell rights (you may sell the business opportunity) AND you may alter the product as you see fit.
Many Giveaway Events and free PLR sites allow you to download products that give you Master Resell Rights or Resell Rights and allow you to sell these products with you keeping 100% of the profits.
What we can do is package the products we have downloaded for free with bonuses and hopefully this will entice a visitor into buying our product. You probably have seen plenty of these already.
You can see an example of my first attempt here. It has been up for a few months and I sell at least one copy a week.
For instance, if your niche is “blogging”, we can put together a make money blogging pack. This might include video tutorials on how to set up your Wordpress blog via cPanel and including a “special bonus” including ebooks on How to Get traffic to Your New Blog, How to Make Money Online and a Affiliate Marketing Handbook. We might put a $17 price tag on it and if we can sell a few a week, it’s a nice little profit. Imagine if we had 10 products for sale going at once?
PLEASE NOTE: Before offering a product for sale always check the license document that usually comes with your download. The license document will explain what rights you have concerning the product.
Most of the MRR and RR downloads should include all the files required to sell the product eg; Sales page, Thank you or download page plus a image folder. We might need to edit the original sales and download pages to include our bonus products and WE MUST insert our PayPal button. Evertime we offer a new product for sale, we need to create a new PayPal button. Ensure your code is encrypted.
I use a great little product called PayLock Generator which encrypts your PayPal buttons in a single click… eliminating digital theft and protecting your profits! No more wasted time logging into PayPal just to create or edit your buy buttons!
Once we have completed your package, upload the files to your server (I use sub-domains) and then start promoting the product to our mailing list. Even if you do not have a mailing list, you can make a 125×125 or 468×60 banner and use these to promote your product or even promote your product via Social Marketing websites.
