$100 In Free Links From Text Link Ads!

It’s Day 10 of The Marketing Guru Challenge and today it is time to check our marketing results and start our email marketing campaign.

First go to your Zookoda or AWeber account and compare the 3 different lists that you set up on Day 4. You should have received several signups and you should be able to see which of your free products performs the best.

If you 3 products perform about the same, then keep on tracking and have a look again in say 2 weeks from now. The plan is to keep your best performing products.

Most of these products are for the same niche, so all I usually do is change the description of the list and that way I keep the signups for the gift I am discarding.

Email Marketing

Since starting this challenge I have actually only used one product that I gave away. I have received about 200 signups so far and now it is time to start my email marketing campaign.

Studies have shown it usually takes between 6-7 emails to a subscriber before the viewer takes action. Here are my techniques that have shown great results so far.

After a subscriber has signed up, confirmed their email address and downloaded your free product, I usually wait one week before sending my first email and at least 6 weeks before I send them an affiliate link or a link to buy something.

The first email I send contains the usual “I hope you enjoyed my free gift” blah blah blah but I add something like “I came across this great free product and I thought you might also find it useful”. I don’t make them sign up to another list, I just give them the download link.

This way we are building up trust. Each week I send another free product for the first 6 weeks. I only send 1 or 2 emails per week to my lists which might include posts from not only my blog but other blog sites as well.

Try and send your subscribers relevant information you think they would find useful. It does not matter what niche you wish to market to, the same techniques work for marketing, cooking or pet blogs or websites.

Hopefully by using these email marketing tips you will not only make money online but keep subscribers from leaving your email lists.
