It’s Day 15 of the Marketing Guru Challenge and in the last few posts I have looked at ways to get traffic to your autoresponder sign up pages or your blog site. Today I would like to talk about article marketing.
Article marketing is one of the best forms of advertising. You can get instant visitors from article directories while also getting back-links for better search engine rankings.
Other bloggers or e-zine publishers might pick up your article and publish it including the link to your website. This can result in a huge amount of traffic.
Without doubt one of the best websites to submit your articles to is Ezine Articles.
The articles that you write should contain between 500 and 1000 words. They must be grammatically correct and interesting to read. Remember, the link to your website is at the end of your article in your signature file. Therefore, if the article is boring, the people will never reach the bottom of your article and they will leave after reading the first 100 words.
Not only can we can leave a link to our blog in the signature file when submitting articles, we can also use our autoresponder signup pages as well. If you want to concentrate on building your list, article marketing is great for long term traffic.
For example, if my niche was say “dog training”, I could write an article giving out some basic dog training tips. Then in the signature file at the bottom, I would include a link to my autoresponder signup page. Hopefully the reader will click the link and sign up. They receive more advanced dog training tips and I have another prospective customer for my mailing list.
Alternatively you can also use an article submitter software. That gives you the advantage that you have full control over your submissions. When you go for the article submitter software you just need to make sure that you get a professional one as there is a lot of junk out there.
So make sure you use article marketing as it’s one of the best methods to get long term traffic to your websites. A great habit is to write and submit one article a week.
